There are a lot of perks associated with being a student. I have curated a list of New York City Museums where a valid student ID can score a discounted admission ticket. In some cases, you might want to bring proof of residency in NY, NJ, and CT as some museums have a “pay as you wish” policy for residents.

The Metropolitan Museum

This is the largest art museum in the United States with over 2 million works of art. The architecture of the museum itself is truly breathtaking and so expansive, you may want to plan multiple visits if you want to see everything.

  • $12 (discounted from $25 adult tickets)

For New York State residents and NY, NJ, and CT students, the amount you pay for your admission ticket is up to you.

Admission ticket includes same-day entry to the Met Cloisters

For New York State residents and NY, NJ, and CT students, the amount you pay for your admission ticket is up to you.
